What I am learning to (WALT)…
- Students reflect their own understanding of forgiveness and the difficulty they might have with this
- Students look at some real-life stories of where people have shown forgiveness
- Students consider what the Bible says about forgiveness
- Students explore the ideas:
– The poison of unforgiveness damages the vessel it is stored in.
– Forgiveness does not make the offender right; it just makes you free.
– Forgiveness is one of the most self-loving things we will ever do.
What I am looking for (WILF)…
- Students recognise that forgiveness is not an option for Christians in response to the mercy and forgiveness that Christ has shown us
- Students consider any areas of unforgiveness that they might have
- Students deal with any unforgiveness out of obedience to God and for their own mental health and well being
What I need (WIN)…
- Electronic device
- Internet access
- Access to Tyndale Learn Dash
This is because (TIB)…
- Forgiveness is not an option for Christians and so it is important for students to recognise this.
- Forgiveness shows non-Christians the grace of God and might spur them to question why and how Christians are able to forgive.
- Unforgiveness is like a poison so for students own mental health and well-being forgiveness it necessary.
