Discuss

  • Reflect on your own Church/ Christian community. You may wish to start with this here. Share with the group what denomination you belong too and describe what it looks like in relation to: evangelism
    • fellowship and connecting new people into the life of the church
    • preaching/teaching
    • discipleship, mission

Example:

I attend New Life Christian Church. My Christian community is very committed to teaching and preaching using exegetical methods rather than topical preaching. They are also very committed to discipling our members from young to old, in particular, one-to-one discipleship and discipleship through Life Groups. It is in life groups that we learn our spiritual gifts and are encouraged to serve and love the church. Service sometimes happens as a life group to evangelise at various events. It is in life groups that pastoral care takes place, and we are able to pray for one another. My church community is very intentional about everyone understanding what the church is all about and how to connect into the life of the church. New Life Christian Church regularly runs a connect course for those who are new to the church
